Disclaimer

This service is provided on the understanding that no blame or claim for loss or damage personal or otherwise can be placed or made against Poppy Auctions or its representatives. Any disputes are to be settled between the person placing the advert and the person expressing an interest in that advert. Poppy Auctions and its representatives will take no part in the resolution of any dispute arising from the use of this service. Use of this service means you are in full agreement with this disclaimer. Poppy Auctions reserves the right to remove any listing that breaches these terms and conditions, or, we deem unsuitable for this listing venue, or in breach of fairness (deemed by us, and/or regarding multiple listings) regarding use of the website. No personal information is passed to us except the information you provide, the only information gathered by Poppy Auctions is your computer/device IP address, this is for reasons of security and any breach of the terms and conditions regarding listing inappropriate material will result in your IP address being forwarded to any body authorised to prevent anything illegal being carried out on your part. During the registration and listing process you may be asked to confirm your email address, this process includes verification of your email address, but also to verify the email address of your Paypal account, and to which account you wish to receive payment, should you enter an incorrect Paypal email address Poppy Auctions cannot be held responsible in any way for payment not reaching you. You must ensure your Paypal (or other payment processing body) email address is correct at the time of listing. Should you enter an incorrect Paypal email address please contact us before the end of the auction and we will try and correct the error before payment is made by the winning party, but we cannot guarantee this will be before a winning party sends payment. The website may be unavailable from time to time, Poppy Auctions, and our trading partners are not responsible for the failure to bid on an item or win an item during this server downtime, this is unavoidable due to the server maintenance and repair or improvement work that may from time to time be necessary to ensure the website and its information stays secure and not within the public domain. Items are usually listed for a period of days (5,7 or 10 days) and with our proxy bidding system you will never pay more for an item than your maximum bid (less postage and packaging, and providing the reserve price is met), so you can bid on an item minutes, hours or even days before the end of an item, and you are encouraged to do this in order to maximize your chances of winning the item, as the price you bid is your maximum price.

Duration

All adverts will remain posted on this site until the contracted period ends. Please check back regularly for times available as these may change due to demand for the service.

Should any advert you place on Poppy Auctions not be fulfilled for the full duration, for whatever reason, you will be given an advert of equivalent length, as no cash refund can be given, only advertising time will be given.

Caveat Emptor-Buyer Beware!
By virtue of its title Poppy Auctions is an internet auction site and items listed cannot be checked for authenticity, originality or otherwise. Sellers are requested to list items honestly for sale/auction in good faith and are encouraged to offer a refund if not as described. If an item has been listed that you believe to be misrepresentational in any way then please inform us with the listing ID.
As with many things you do not get something for nothing if unsure please contact the seller to ensure items are correct in every way.

Errors

Should an error be made when placing your advert you may change certain aspects of the advert in your control panel, but should you require changes that are not editable via the control panel please contact us and we will correct it as soon as possible. Also, if you find any broken or misdirected links on this site please let us know. Poppy Auctions is not responsible for the content of other websites linked via listed items or on-site adverts.

Fees

All standard listings are £1 no hidden costs. Variations on cost is dependant upon website advert and time listed.

A limit will be applied on your account and this balance must be paid before any more listings can be placed on the website.

In the unlikely event of server downtime it may mean that your advert does not appear on the website for the full term stated. If you wish to regain the time of the downtime/maintenance, you are completely entitled to do so. You may claim this time by contacting us here stating the item ID number, your account username, date advert placed and downtime/unavailability of the item, this will allow us to increase/extend your advert for the time loss.

Payment can be made with a credit via PayPal using the link on this website (accessed via your control panel under 'Pay My Account' section, here). Alternatively, if you wish to pay by cheque please contact us.

Photographs

Photographs are listed on Poppy Auctions by advertisers, the photographs are meant to be an accurate illustration of the item you are putting up for auction. Poppy Auctions cannot accept responsibility for sellers who un- intentionally or otherwise mislead buyers.

Permitted Items

All auction items must comply with current legislative requirements and not knowingly be sold to minors. Nazi items are permitted to be listed as long as the Swastika is obliterated from view in any photographs in order to avoid offending any parties. Your use of this site is your acceptance of these terms of use.
